On August 5, 1962, Marilyn Monroe is found dead in her home in Los Angeles, Brentwood She was discovered lying nude on her bed, face down, with a telephone in one hand and Empty bottles of pills
After a brief investigation, Los Angeles police concluded that her death was “caused by a self-administered overdose of sedative drugs and that the mode of death is probable suicide.”
Peter Lawford (actor and brother in law of Kennedy) was the last person to speak to Monroe alive. On the phone, she ended their last conversation by saying “Say goodbye to Pat [Lawford’s wife]. Say goodbye to the president. And say goodbye to yourself because you’re a nice guy.”
Before death of Monroe she had suffered from mental illness and substance abuse for several years prior to her death and she also divorced her third husband

there have been a number of conspiracy theories and books about her death, most of which contend that she was murdered by John F Kennedy or Robert Kennedy !

In 1964, Frank A. Cappell published a pamphlet, The Strange Death of Marilyn Monroe, Cappell’s investigation into Monroe’s death sparked controversy. The pamphlet outlines that Marilyn Monroe was involved with Robert Kennedy, who Cappell claimed were both alleged communists.
The conspiracy entails Marilyn Monroe had supposedly had personal relations with Robert Kennedy, which externally led to his part in her death.
Merliyn Monroes’s second husband Joe DiMaggio had accused the Kennedys of his ex-wife’s death
Other theorists were more suspicious of Monroe’s money, and those in control of it, purposefully injecting her with barbiturates to get full access to the actress’s funds.
And another theory suggest Monroe was killed by labour union leader Jimmy Hoffa and mob boss Sam Giancana
the prevalence of these theories push in the media, the office of the Los Angeles County District Attorney reviewed the case in 1982, but found no evidence to support them and did not disagree with the findings of the original investigation.
But most theories stated Kennedy’s was linked to Monroe’s death
